Want to refine your technique and take your game to the next level? 

Join our Head Coach Davor Carevic on Thursday nights in term 4 for targeted skills sessions designed specifically for ages 15–18. 

During the pressure of the competitive season, there's rarely time to break down the small details that make a huge impact on performance. These sessions will drill into the core fundamentals, covering body positioning, transitions, ball handling, passing accuracy and technique and shooting power. Whether you want to fix bad habits or sharpen your overall game playing capabilities ahead of next season, this is the place to do it!

Timing: Thursday 8 - 9.15pm

Davor Carević

Davor is an exceptionally experienced coach with over 30 years in the domestic and international arena. He started coaching in NZ with North Harbour and then joined Waitak as our Head in 2018. His personal achievements include winning multiple National Senior Championships and coaching New Zealand at the 2006 Commonwealth Championship, where the team won Bronze. Davor has coached New Zealand teams to Senior and Junior World Championships and Olympic Qualification Tournaments, and in 2017, he was awarded an honours award for Outstanding Service to the sport of Water Polo by Water Polo New Zealand. 

In addition to coaching a number of teams at Waitak and supporting player development Davor provides mentoring for our other club coaches.
