Under 16 Overview
Registration Costs: $480 (includes $40 Auckland Water Polo registration & competition fees)
In 2024, the Auckland League and New Zealand Water Polo Nationals will be held in Term 3. Players start to train in Term 2. Registration costs include two sessions per week. Additional trainings are available on top of this; you can learn more here.
Auckland League
We participate in the Under 16 Auckland Water Polo League. Teams will be entered on the basis of player numbers. Auckland League runs in Term 3.
Games can be at any of the 7 water polo pools in Auckland:
West Wave (our home ground)
Diocesan Aquatic Centre (Home of Atlantis)
St Cuthbert’s Aquatic Centre (Home of Sea Wolf)
Sacred Heart Aquatic Centre (Home of Marist)
AUT Millennium (MISH) (Home of North Harbour)
National Aquatic Centre (Home of North Harbour)
Manurewa Aquatic Centre (Home of Mountfort Park)
National Championships
New Zealand Water Polo runs Nationals and is separate from the Auckland League. Teams may be re-trialed for Nationals based on players interested in attending. The number of teams going to Nationals depends on the number of players who are able and willing to go. There is an additional entry fee for associated costs with this (entry fee, travel and accommodation etc).
In 2024, Division 1 Nationals will be held in Auckland from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th October. Division 2 Nationals will be held in Hawkes Bay (Boys) and Rotorua (Girls) from Saturday 28th September to Tuesday 1st October.
